Ahoy again, just thought i'd update some more.

As far as real life goes, not too much to say. Completed my summer course with no real difficulty. Got the next Harry Potter book in the mail of course, need to read it before people start shouting spoilers all around. Practically have to seal yourself in a dark basement for a few days to manage that. Also been starting to try to get a bit more exercise out of myself. It's quite enjoyable to go out jogging around the park near my house early in the morning, only time of the day it's not blistering hot down here in southern California. But most importantly, imma preparing for a trip to go visit Northy again! Gonna be mostly out of sight starting July 29th for a couple of weeks ( besides for dynamis and whatnot ) and I really can't wait. Got a whole lot of plans; movie trips, amusement park visits, and most importantly some time together. ^^

As far as FFXI, not too much to say here either. Getting closer and closer to Northy's Katana despite the horrible luck with drops and ENM's. Also working on IS points for Northy's other Katana ( Perdu Blade ) and my Perdu Voulge. Midgarsormr picked a good time to lose Besieged making it quite hard to earn IS points. It seems like Kikoku will be easier to get than Perdu Blade from this point on strangely enough. We both took our brand new blue digging chocobo's out and tried out Chocobo Hot and Cold, 20k net profit! Not bad for first try. We'll be doing that a bit more often likely. And finally hit our lvl 50 BRD and PLD. I get my nice pink body armor for the rest of my BRDing career, at least it looks kinda interesting. Just wish I didn't have to wear oven mittens with them.

Figured I might as well show some of my own artwork following Northstars example. I am not as much of an artist at her but I try! ( my avater is from one of her works ) 



This is Draxyle with Northy trying to remove Excalibur from the stone. I had once thought of making a small comic series based on Draxyle's "Quest for Excalibur" and this sketch was a random thought I had about it. I do quite like how it this turned out, but my comic idea was sorta scrapped over time.



This is Draxyle as a WAR. ( long before it reached lvl 75 ) Just a random sketch I made in class, I gotta remember to bring real drawing paper to my classes.



And lastly this is my first real Flash animation for a class I took last semester. It has nothing to do with FFXI but I had a lot of fun making it. Now to explain all the things covering it.. I had to take a swf file and convert it into a normal video file which required me to download a free trial file converter. So when I uploaded the new file it had that website slapped in the middle. Then I had to take it into a video editing program to change the filesize a bit which was from a different free trial I downloaded, they slapped their tag on the top. And then you have your typical Youtube logo at the bottom. Beneath all the corporate crap is my video, without sound it seems sadly, but you get the gist of it.

Anyway, that's all for now. I'll need to get some newer/better drawings posted here later on.

ello ello all! Just here to make my first entry into this new fangled journal thing. Not much to say on the real life front, taking a class over the summer leaves me swamped with work at times. 5 weeks for one class = mass cramming for tests and assignments, but i'm enjoying the class at least. 

As for the in game front, it's mostly looking to be full of poverty neccesitating the need for welfare services within the sphere of the game. Leveling 2 jobs at once ( BRD & WHM ) while buying a couple re-raise gorgets and a stack of pies a week ( mages really should appear a little more... robust over time ) leaves the wallet wailing in lonelyness. A little luck with ENM's is highly called for, me and Northy have been lucky a week ago but the last runs left little more than pocket change. On a positive note, i've been finally improving my RDM's equips after long ages of neglect. Finally dropped Raja's ( that was painful ) for a Tamas which opened up a nice extra macro slot, which allowed me to start macroing in neck gear as well. Bought an elemental Torque for the occasion and am saving up for grandoise chain (hMP+) or whatever it's called, maybe a dark torque and enhancing torque as well if my inventory doesn't suffer too much. Also nabbed a nifty pair of Yigit gloves from assaults. Adding an extra 5 MND to my setup will be quite yummy for the ensuing enfeebling fun ( maybe less fun for the monsters, maybe ). I would say my RDM is closer to complete now, just need to aquire the AF+1 hat ( once Limbus is no longer needed for profit purposes ) and other little trinkets here and there. Other then that, not much else to say. I am quite enjoying lvling BRD, ( reminds me of RDM, a lot of control over the battlefield ) and I have fun with WHM most of the time ( magic bursting Banishga II for more damage than anyone else is giggle inducing, despite the massive MP cost ). And I might be lvling NIN soon, would give Northy a break now and then for our usual events.
